Jorge secured himself the best wide receiver corps of the draft going four straight with Calvin Ridley, Diontae Johnson, Drake London, and Tyler Lockett to go along with the Sun God himself, Amon-Ra St Brown. He’s putting the puzzle together nicely and setting himself up to take any direction he wants in the late rounds. Mark Andrews in the fifth, Chris Godwin in the seventh, and Khalil Herbert in the eighth. You know, the one that saw him lead the league with 17 rushing touchdowns? He’s going to step into the Jamaal Williams role from last year. Both are in the middling RB2 range, but Monty is someone I like at cost. After not taking a running back in the first four rounds, he needs his middle-round picks of Rachaad White and David Montgomery to hit. Daren Waller looks like the go-to option for Daniel Jones, and if he’s able to stay healthy can challenge Travis Kelce for TE1 overall with the volume he’ll see. I like what Kraig did in the middle rounds. His upside is limited due to the lack of rushing, but he’s got the weapons and leads a Lions offense that was Top 5 in 2022. I wanted one of Anthony Richardson or Daniel Jones as my QB2, but I’m okay with Jared Goff. Quarterback dried up faster than I had hoped, too. He’s fine, but more likely to finish as a high-end WR2 than in the Top 5. I wound up with DK Metcalf as my WR1, and I’m not too excited about that. I was not happy with the wide receiver run that started in the late 2nd round and continued through the third. He’s got a high floor based on the volume he’ll see and has the talent to finish as the RB1. He’s a lock for 300+ carries in the run-heaviest offense in the league, will be used in the passing game, and is the best running back prospect to come out of college since Barkley (who finished as the RB2 in points per game in his rookie season). Jake has given me a lot of flack for this pick because I also took him as the RB2 off the board in the FLEX Leagues draft. I’m excited to see what he can do fully healed from the rib injury he suffered last season and with Kellen Moore at OC. Trevor Lawrence is headed for a big season, but I went with Justin Herbert. Justin will be the instant favorite in this league if he can hit quarterback late.īeing SuperFlex, I knew I wanted to land one of the top eight quarterbacks in the first, and I had my choice of two quarterbacks with luscious hair and tons of upside. Loaded would be an understatement for his start Cooper Kupp, Saquon Barkley, and Nick Chubb can all finish at the top of their positions with relative ease, and Tee Higgins in the fourth locks up a high-end WR2 with WR1 potential to pair with Kupp. He joked in the mock chat he was going #ZeroQB, and he kept his word. I’m interested to see how Justin’s team shakes out. It looks like Jake isn’t concerned with Ezekiel Elliott’s impact on Stevenson (and neither am I). Oddly enough, that was Stevenson’s exact draft position in our first SuperFlex mock. Jake loaded up at running back with CMC at the 1.10 and Rhamondre Stevenson at the 4.03. Ladarius is set at WR with Ja’Marr Chase, Davante Adams, and Keenan Allen, three guys who can all finish as WR1s and two favorites to finish as THE WR1. Geno Smith (LaDarius) and Daniel Jones (Jake) are both back-end QB1s on improving offenses, so I don’t mind the move as they both loaded up elsewhere. Ladarius, Justin, and Jake zigged when the rest of us zagged - LaDarius and Jake waited until the 3rd round to snag their first QB, and Justin didn’t take one in the first four rounds at all. The first two rounds were pretty chalky overall for a SuperFlex league 8 of the first 12 and 12 of the first 24 picks were quarterbacks.
